Need a drum machine that also has bass, guitar, and keyboard accompaniment. Anything out there that has versions of famous songs i.e. "Walk, Don't Run" or "Wipeout?"

Thanks!

yuk yuk! something that I can record beginning gtr players with, something that can mute the parts. i don wanna have to lay down everything myself....

I'm not aware of a "drum machine" that plays specific songs ie: Ventures.

However, there may be MIDI songs files available that could be used with a MIDI sequence program.

Other options would be something like Band-In-A-Box software (in you have acces to a computer).

Roland (actually it may be Boss) has a tabletop unit called "Jam Station" which is like a hardware version of BIAB. It provides drums, bass and two other melodic instruments (guitar, strings, organ, etc.). You program in the chord progression, choose a musical style an viola' you have a band. It also allows you to record one other voice or instrument via an A/D interface onto a "smart media card". The sounds are pretty decent and it can double as a sound module in a recording system.

The Jam Station (and for that matter BIAB) are both good rehearsal/teaching tools.

The studio canvas is a sound module and would need a computer or sequencer/drum machine to play recorded patterns.

Got the DR5 and man, the midi sounds are cheesy. This things going back.

BTW I've done a little research with the JamStation - can it get traditional sounds too besides House and Techno?
