DRUM "MACHINE" software- please help me find

Can anyone help me with a name/link of something simple (being not techno talented). Im using a Samplitude 11 Silver daw, laptop, firewire solo...I have downloaded Groovebox but, although it has a few things i need it fall short. I need:

1. something free (i know!)
2. that i can create my own rhythms, and particularly simple bass drum lines without any hi hats, etc but able to change tempo and texture/sound quality
3. that i can export (to my daw)

Would so appreciate your help with this.

I use Hydrogen drum machine, which is free, and I do believe it has the ability to change tempo, etc. Not sure on texture/sound quality.

To export it to my DAW I just record it through my computer.

However, as a disclaimer, I'm unemployed and living at my parents house, so I have $0 to put towards anything. Hence my budget of all budget setups.
