Wicked Machine
Guys,

I'm trying out the Audition demo and playing around with some drum loops.

I place a loop on lets say track one and another loop (starting at a different measure) on track two. I move the track two loop into the the track 1 loop but it doesn't replace the track one loop, it keeps them combined. Can't you replace what's in the track one loop with my new loop (just for the length of the track 2 loop) I have n track 2?

Audition doesn't do this automatically, you have to do it manually. In the multitrack view, make sure the "Multitrack View" toolbar is there. There are seven buttons to choose from here. Assuming the demo is the same as the version I have, they are from left to right: "Show Volume Envelopes," "Show Pan Envelopes," "Show Wet/Dry Mix Envelopes," "Show FX Parameter Envelopes," "Show Tempo Envelopes," "Edit Envelopes," and "Block Edge Dragging."

You need to turn on "Show Volume Envelopes," and "Edit Envelopes" (buttons 1 and 6). This will give you envelopes on each track that you can click and drag to control the volume with; so when you want track 2 to replace track 1, bring the track 1 volume to 0 for the duration of track 2. I'd recommend keeping the loops on separate tracks. It's just easier to see and work with that way.
