hey guys, i just got this program and heard great things about it, i load it up and NOTHING happens, the program itself opens, but i get no sound what so ever, im really starting to get into my own recording and am interested in finding the best way to make realistic sounding drums, if this isnt the program you use, what do you use and if it is what am i doing wrong?

There is absolutely no way to have the slightest idea what you are doing wrong based on your explanation. Please be more thorough. You realize that this is a virtual instrument that runs in a DAW host by way of a MIDI track?

no i didnt know that, and im not sure what you mean, whats a DAW host, im sorry im new to midi, any other program suggestions

would my DAW Host be SONAR? if so how do i use it with SONAR

Okay. I don't want to get into the whole "why didn't you read up just a little on the software before you bought it" thing, even though I think that is totally applicable here. ;)

Drumkit from hell is a sampler. Meaning that it is a library of sampled sounds and a "plug-in" style program that will trigger those sounds based on MIDI inputs. A "host" software would be just any kind of recording software that featured MIDI functionality. Something like Sonar, Cubase, Etc. You must be able to create a track of MIDI information in order to trigger the DFH samples. The software will not do anything on it's own.
What kind of software do you use for recording? And do you know what MIDI is, basically?

okay, I see that you listed SONAR as your host software after I made the above reply....

To use DFH in Sonar, you must create a MIDI track and insert DFH as a VST virtual instrument on that track. The MIDI notes that you draw in that track will trigger the drum sounds from DFH. There are alot of intricacies to this process that are spelled out in the manual for both Sonar and DFH. You need to get to reading.
