Drum and Bass Machines

I need something for backing tracks. So I can play my guitar over it. Something not limiting so I can program anything. $300 limit. What is the best one to get.

My style is like Jimmy Page, SRV, Joe Satriani.

Do I hook this up to my home stereo, or what?

I say find a used E-MU MP7. It is described as a "hiphop" tool, but it has a LOT a drums to mess with. Plus it has plenty of bass sounds. Even an LFO for that window shattering.

This is a bit more than you want to spend, but if you search around a bit......never know. I promise it is worth it though.

You can hook it to your stereo, but I suggest laying a couple stereo tracks and putting guitar on that. VERY PROFESSIONAL sounding peice of gear. I rented one from guitar center for a month, then took it back and rented it from guitar center at another location. I can hear some of the sounds on the radio once in a while
