Drop in drop out

A really simple one, how do i drop in and drop out of recording so I can record over a small section of guitar if I mess up (which is alot) without having to re-do the whole section or song.

Incidentally I'm using SX3

I've never used SX3 but i'm sure it's no different than 4LE or 5.

Just record over top of the other track and then you can resize the new take to cover up the part you messed up. You can start and stop the second take anytime you want.

There are other ways to do it, where you can cylcle over the same part and save several takes or just punch in and punch out. Take a look at this.....
