I'm thinking of taking the plunge and getting a Driskill guitar, but the problem I've had is that they're not readilly available for testing. Anybody ever actually played one who could provide some feedback as to feel, sound, etc.?

Yes I have. I'm trying to remember what it was called..a diablo? Maybe that was something different. Anyways, it was nice to play, easy to play, very very pretty, can't deny that. Not my cup o' tea, though. It reminded me very much of an Ibanez high end guitar. I think it's best in the hands of an 8 fingers on the fretboard shredder. I'm just a classic guitar player type of guy, and I mostly just chug away at chords. My personal favorite guitar in that general area are the ones by Terry C McInturff. I have played several of his and they just feel better to me. They generally are pretty gutsy guitars too, in terms of tone. If you haven't played one, they are definately worth the time to check them out, too.
