I know this is probably a simple task but I don't use cool edit too much and I can't seem to figure it out. I have some vocals that I need to line up against a music file. I have the same file that the vocalist tracked against but I don't have his session file so all of the tracks don't have any place info.
I can right click and drag the files but the increments aren't tiny enough. I turned off all the "Snapping" options because I thought it might be the cause. There has to be some way to move it in smaller increments right? I was thinking that the arrow keys would do it, but that just moves the start point bar. So im guessing im missing something. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance

The only way I've ever been able to do it is to blow the waves up real big in the multitrack view and trial and error them in from there. Good luck!

In multitrack view, on the bottom of the tracking window, you'll see a series of magnifying glasses. Click on the one to increase the width of the wave form, do so how ever many times you need to, to allow you to move the wavefore freely to match it up.

It's not hard at all, I do it freqently.

There's also a "Nudge" keyboard shortcut which a friend and I found but I haven't gone back to look for since. Search Keyboard Shortcuts for "nudge".

Thanks guys, the magnifying thing did the trick. Its a pain in the ass but it worked. I knew I was missing something simple.
