DR-008 vs Cyclone ( Velocity?)

I have been using Cyclone as a simple sampler for 16 drum sounds and making my kit for scratch recordings. I noticed that I cannot seem to get the velocity to work on these samples.

I can get velocity to work with other soft synths, just not Cyclone.

Is this just the way it is, or have I overlooked something?

Obvious next question:
Can I get velocity to work with DR-008?

Velocity works fine in Dr-008.
I adjust velocity in the piano roll most of the time, but it works like a charm.
