Hi guy. Newbie to this great machine. I'm getting there...but how do I play over pre recorded tracks without being in recording mode? I'm probably doing something stupid! ....you know, say I want to get say a synth lead down to perfection first with just playing over the top of my track I've recorded. It seems at the minute it always has to be recording. AnY help would be most welcome....thanks.

It sounds like you already recorded a track, but you now want to listen to that track while recording another part. If thats correct, simply follow the operating manual - it goes thru those same steps.., see page 13:

No. I want to play over a recorded track without being in recording mode so I get it spot on until I'm ready for recording it.

On the same page (13) in the manual, it seems that you can record a track and then listen back to it, while also practicing a 2nd part with it- see Steps 1 thru 6. Step 7 is the instructions for Recording the 2nd part. If you dont want to record it, just go up to step 6 and no further.
