Okay....Here is my Home "Demo" Version of my new song "The Lamb" recorded on the TASCAM DP-24.

I wrote it & played it on my Breedlove American C25-SME Acoustic Guitar (single track miked)....On my Korg Triton Extreme I played Piano/Keyboard Bass/Strings & programmed drums..... I sang the lead & the wife BGV....... I don't play electric, so a friend did electric Guitar honors.......The Microphone is an Audio-Technica 4030 for VOX & Acoustic Guitar

I am a Singer/Songwriter, not a Home Recordist.....I'm not sure if compression levels are what it should be or EQ etc...

This will eventually go to my Producer who does all my tracks & be redone like all my other tracks with my session players...I always use my Producer when it comes time to do the final cut.

I simply purchased this TASCAM DP-24 as a song Scratch pad.....

Anyways, for now this showcases the tune.

Wonderful song. :thumbs up: For me the sound-quality is very good, although I'm not a pro, but only a simply DP-24 homerecordler.

re. Digital Latency issues / delays?

Hi Steve,

song sounds nice ~ but can hear digital latency / timing issues around between 30 ~ 50 secs from start esp 40secs when bass drum (poss overdub?) and also 1.30 in etc?

guess as you say this is a demo, and will be rerecorded ~ that's the main problem i think with these portastudios, that you can't adjust for digital latency during overdubbing? ~ nice track otherwise!

This is why I just do demos....i let guys like u straighten all that out..

i'll stick to singing and songwriting.....

a mans gotta know his limitations

...yes, i couldn't write & sing songs like that, so i'm happy doing prod side!

what were the other tracks recorded on DAW or DP-24? ~ great musicians as well! (sounds good from over here as a UK Christian!)

The only other "demo" done on the DP24 Besides "The Lamb", was a basic track of "I Saw Jesus Today"....can't wait for my country Producer to get ahold of that one.

All other tunes were recorded in my Producers Studio...DAW, I believe the cheaper version of PRO TOOLS.....Home of course. I let him hire the musicians.

Thx for the good word

Nice track Steve. I agree with the bass drum latency, but otherwise, very nice indeed.
