I recently used the DP-02Cf to record a bluegrass jam session. The quality of the recording is not bad. My only problem was organizing the the songs, since it was basically catch on the fly there wasn't much chance for saving.
When I got a break I tried to save some files but apparently they are all named Song001 and Song002 which makes it difficult to tell which is which.
It worked out OK with the exception of saving one song on top of another.
I wonder if this is something that could be addressed in a firmware upgrade?

Unfortunately, Tascam's file naming convention has never been very good. Limiting songs and tracks to 8 characters should have gone the way of MS-DOS. Sad to say, don't look for a resolution to this, unless you export the files and rename them yourself. I really like the DP-02CF and the DP-004, but the 8 character limit on songs just plain sucks.
