I tried my first master. It worked. I don't have a built in CD
burner, so I learned how to download into my PC. I brought
it into ITunes.

Although during the mastering process I had the pan
pots at the 12 O'clock position, the playback was
separated left and right. What can I do to have
it play back the way I thought I mastered the
song?

I had a DP-01. What happens when you play it back from the HD on the DP-01?

When you master it inside the DP01, it is really just bouncing the mix to 2 tracks (it assumes a left and right stereo mix).
