Doyle Dykes follow up !

A few weeks ago I posted a thread saying that I was going to see Doyle Dykes in concert.

Firstly, I would like to say sorry to anyone who responded to my post, for not getting back to you sooner ( been very busy, plus this site has been a bitch for the last couple of weeks )

So thank you all for your posts !

Secondly, I would like to say to anyone, if you get the chance to see this guy in the future "Take It" He realy is quite an unbelievable tallent and he seems capable of playing just about any style of music you care to mention, so I'm sure he would appeal to quite a broad range of guitarists.
Having said that I don't think anyone could fail to be impressed by
the amazing playing, even if the music is not to your personal taste.

Thirdly, I went to see Bert Jansch last night ------ "WOW"------
Again if you ever get the chance to see him I would urge you to do all you can to get there. He realy is the most amazing guitarist I have ever seen and I don't think I have ever seen an audience so completley spellbound as I did last night.

They're amazing musicians, that's for sure. Others to watch for are John Renbourn and Steve Baughman. Steve has developed a frailing style for the guitar; nothing short of astounding. I had the privilege of a guitar workshop with him about a month ago - all afternoon, completely hands-on, open tunings, and learning the frailing movement with the right hand. He also has a few books out, including the only book written on frailing style for the guitar (Mel Bay). The books have CDs as part of the package.
