I'm absolutely digging the vocals here. I like the way you've got them sitting in with everything else. Own space, not too upfront, not buried.

I think there are two things to fix, one is the kick click.. just a little too much click and not enough oomph. The other is the repetive reference to Oklahoma. ha ha ha, just kidding....

The title pulled me in and I was hoping it wouldn't disappoint.. it didn't!!!

Cool man!!

Sounds okay to me. Nice modern rocking sound. The kick is a little funny sounding. I don't think it's too clicky, but just a hair loud. I'm personally all for big kicks, but this is too up front. That's my only nit with the mix. The rest sounds great.

Why, thank you sir. There's still some fixes that need to happen surrounding the vocals.

I agree. May be a bit too much...or maybe just too loud. I kinda think the kick and snare are a touch too loud.

I'm with you there...but there's not much I can do when the vocalist is from Oklahoma AND a Sooner fan. Then again, I share their general hate for Texas. :D Did I just say that out loud?

I'm glad I didn't disappoint!

Yeah, I agree. Maybe something with a bit more body or it's just too loud.

Maybe just a tighter thwack sound. This kick sounds kind of loose and sloppy - yet very present in the mix. It's a little strange.

bumping for more thoughts...

Wow!!!!

I don't know if you're professional or not but to my two ears the song sounds great, but what do I know? I'm an amateur at recording and I'm more focused on playing the guitar. Nicely done.

Thanks, man. I'm an amateur as well. My main thing is guitar playing, which I do in this band. That being said, I'm starting the build of a real recording studio as soon as I can sell my house and get a plot of land.

I absolutely love this!
That is one damn fuckin' great voice....!! :)
I like the drum sound, it really thumps. Great bass and guitar playing. The song material is simply too good not to make a great thing of it and the performance is perfect to me. Wonderful, more please!

Joey :):):):)

excellent, not my scene but that sounds great.....i wouldnt recognise it from something else signed in the genre

Really good stuff ...
Deal with the bass drum and it might give the bass guitar more defintion in the lower notes - if not just a hair more def (poss a peak at 3kH) and it'll be cool bananas.
I enjoyed most of the Wah Wah except where the notes blurred briefly.
On further listening the bass is right on the spot at 3min so it must be conflict with the guitars.
Nicely done!

Thanks for all the compliments guys. Seems as though the overwhelming fix to do is the kick drum. We have a few other things to do to this song in the vocal category, too.

Thanks!

Oh, and I'll post more as we finish them up!

cornell? :-)

Vocal reminds me a little of Chris Cornell...Cool stuff man

Ben.
