I am a first timer in computer home recording, I am truly lost!!! I thought it best I list what I have and then if someone can help to figure out how to use I would be in their debt. I owned a recording studio for many years but wires and plugs seem to be much easier than understanding all of this. I became very sick and was not able to walk or operate my studio and have just finally become well enough to try this...
I have an Imac 700cpu with 20gig hd 256 rm
I have an aardvark usb3
midiman keystation 49
Motu DP3
cubase vst 32 5.0
You would think I could get something to make a sound but so far only trax in audio are showing up and then not played thru my internal speakers, I do see input.
I cant find sounds for the keyboard or maybe I don't have any? I see input in the mixer section but do not detect any sounds. I would be more than happy if someone could take a moment and get me at least on page one of what im looking for and where. I do not have manual for the DP3 and only the addendum for the vst. Im just lost and I am looking for a way to become creative again....
