Alrighty, here be one from the band.. My friend Ralph is on vox this time. Lemme know if we're gettin good production or whether we need to seriously reevaluate our production techniques.

Door To Door

One to ten time...

Recording: nice------8
Singing and vocal phrasing:weak------3.5
Aranging:decent-----6
Writing: alright-----5

The singer doesn't give a real pointed feel to this tune and some of the drum changes are weak. I like the quality of the mix but the song needs some energy and direction.

Dammnit!! I knew we should've bribed the Canadian judges.. or was it the French judges..

ahhh crap, i can't remember.

Song is fine. I'd bring the vocals up and put the drums a little more in the backround.

Yea,that and what Jake said about it being a little lacking in energy. The Wah solo at the end is cool, but then the vox should also do something heavier. Some quirky things in there but the overall theme gets played out too quick.Recording is decent.Drums sound a little funny like there in too hard of a limiter or something. And tell that guy who's singing to not moan so much,it's kinda...well...gay.I feel a little douche chilly from it.

Bahaha!

Hey, I like this. I disagree greatly with the "lack of energy" comments. It's a gloomy, dirge-like thing fer chrissakes - it ain't "shiny happy people"!

I do agree with the "bring the vox up, bring the drums down" comment. Other than that I like the mix. Dark and strange, with some skanky energy in the wah section.

Nice stuff.

Chris

I really like the way this song evolves. The changes are smooth, subtle, and really grow naturally out of each other. This would be great in a movie soundtrack because it's a good "mood creator"- I'm thinking "Wild at Heart".

I agree that the vocals need to come up, and I tend to like vocals buried. Otherwise, very cool sound!

hey thanks for the comments peeps..

as for the positive stuff, gotta love that I really appreciate it..

uhm.... and as for the rest of it..

well....

Ralph has locked himself up in his room playing showtune records on his phonograph and now he won't come out thanks a lot!!
