I just got the musicians guide to home recording and I think it has a clear message on the front of the book> just look for yourself....

That's the problem mixing recording with mind-altering substances.... it all sounds great at the time, but you sure get a reality check the next day.........

If you're trying to cut serious tracks, I'd leave the substances out of the studio.

If you're skipping school and fucking around with guitar in your basement, rock on...!

The cops burst into my studio a week ago tonight. My only defence in this situation was that I am a law abiding person. There are no illegal substances or objects whatsoever in my building. Had there been so much as a firecracker (illegal in my city) I am sure I would have been hauled into jail because these cops had such a hard on when they came through my door.

Why did they come in? I'm not sure they even knew but basically the facts were: My van was in the driveway, the gate was open, the lights were on, they could hear some music when they stood in front of my door. They thought there might be a crime in progress because of the aforementioned(????).

Anyway, my point is putting a picture of yourself on the internet that implies your are doing something illegal is about the most foolish thing I can imagine. I got raided for no good reason. It could happen to you. Because of this thread they have probable cause. Good luck!!!

No, you only think you hear better. You don't. If you mix high, you gonna get mixes that sound good when you are high.

Besides, I've heard reefer makes you insensitive to treble, and that's why all reggae concerts are so crappily mixed.

makes my mouth water!!!1 seeing that pic!! I mix and record stoned most of the time, other than when I REALLY want to get something good down. But it relaxes you and put you (or at least me) in a creative place. I dont agree with posting pics of yourself, but rock on man, many great people have done it and gotten away with it! need I mention. . . . the beatles, stones, hendrix, etc. i like smoke! peace all
