Don't know if this is possible...but would be really helpful if so...

Basically I need to find a way to retrieve some custom FX settings from an old installation of Cool Edit Pro 2.1.

I had worked out a few really nice settings (compression and a few others) and was getting along nicely with them until my computer suddenly died.

I've managed to retrieve all the data from it, but but I'd like to know if there's any way I can find these settings out as I found them pretty much by accident & don't really have the patience to start buggering around to find out how I did it.

Any ideas?

Now, lemme see. Wasn't it the cool.ini file that contained information about FX settings and such? If your machine's intact, then you should be able to find that file if you do a search. Cuz if you wind up uninstalling and reinstalling at some point, then I don't know if the new reinstall will recognize the old cool.ini file necessarily. It's a file worth having, cuz otherwise you have to learn the FX settings all over again. Fun sometimes, though.
