but one of my studio monitors is doing something strange..
I have my yorkville ysm powered monitors hooked up to the monitor outs on my omni studio and when i adjust the volume knob for the monitors on the omni, the left speaker kind of makes a small crackle sound, it happens when i've just turned the monitors on and it goes away after i turn it up and down a few times.. it also happens when i adjust the volume after a period when nothing was playing..
any ideas whats up ?
is something wrong with my speakers or the omni ?

dirty pots. The volume knobs need a good cleaning. Speakers are fine. Pick up some cleaner at the good ol Radio shack... spray the pots all cozy and you are in

Good post, Even. I was going to suggest the same thing.

DON'T USE THAT RS JUNK.......... IT'S GARBAGE.

Get yourself the good stuff -- Cramolin, or Caig's DeOxit stuff....

The RS crap will simply make the problem a lot worse after the first couple of hours................

cool thanks for the help fellas.. where can I pick up some Cramolin, or Caig's DeOxit ?
