Yes, it's political ... but it's general digust, not specific to any party or another ...

How's the mix sound? Anything jump out as "off"?

Thanks for the help!

Best,

Very soothing. But, I can't hear the lyrics. Bring up the vocals, as a start, then address the seeming muddiness (soothing sound, if you will) of the instruments.

I like it!!!!! I just can't hear the vocals enough!!!

I like the overall mix. I'll look forward to an emended version.

Mix sounds very good. I agree, maybe a small boost of the vocals. Not much, just a tad, I can almost hear every word myself. Cool chord progressions, excellent tune.

The beginning isnt working for me. :o Other than that its terrific, maybe your best tune yet.

I like this tune. Reminds me of late 70's or early 80's pop-rock. Yes, very smooth. Nice changes throughout the arrangement, very effective. Loved the lo-fi record-like intro. Contrasts nicely to the smooth verse.

I think the vocal level is fine, but I've never been a fan a upfront vocals. I think yours sit pretty well in the mix; however, I'm listening on some pretty good headphones, which tend to make everything audible. Some of the guitar parts might be competing with the vocal, making it seem buried at points -- perhaps a few eq adjustments might help (but IMHO it really doesn't need all that much). Nice guitar work, by the way.

Overall mix is solid.

I'm not a fan of politics in song, but good job nonetheless.

Excellent information -- THANKS!!!

I followed the advice and brought the lead vocal up a smidge more. It's a delicate balance, so I'm staying on the side of caution ... but I think it's better dialed in now.

This is a complex mix, with a LOT of tracks going on -- so the "smoothing" of the sounds was necessary to fit everything onto the frequency soundstage. Believe it or not, I actually deleted over 10 other tracks out of this mix relative to a prior version -- stripping it down to its basic elements.

And there's still ... maybe 40 tracks in it? It's a bit of a monster ...

The lead guitar work isn't mine ... btw ... it was kindly contributed by Emeric Loan ... who some folks around here might know. I do play everything else though ... save the drums (Frank Basile).

Anyways -- if a quick relisten could be made by folks noting the vocals -- and let me know if the levels are more satisfactory now, I'd really appreciate the revisit w/ the feedback.

THANKS AGAIN!

Wheres the link? :D IS it the same link as original?

I am listening to the original link again, indeed it is a complex piece.

Damn, I wanna hear em, put em back in. :D :D

Yes, David, it is the same link as the original.

... and the extra tracks didn't add much ... in fact, they only distracted and obfuscated the space. Most of them were additional rhythm guitar parts that served only to throw off the rhythm -- making it busier than need be.

:D
