Does this setup work?

Tl;dr: I'm a noob and I want the Pyle-pro PDKM7 and the Tascam US-600 for recording drums+guitar on my mac...Yea or nea? Looking for cheap price over quality.

So my recording setup as of right now is a 30$ USB mic and a box (it works for drums believe it or not...sort of), and I am naturally looking to upgrade. At this point I am NOT looking for quality, I am just looking for the cheapest way to record drums+guitar. I have my sights set on the Pyle-Pro PDKM7 for drums, it seems to have gotten good reviews and its pretty cheap.

For an audio interface I am looking at the Tascam US-600. The most important part is keeping the setup cheap, I want to keep the price range under 300$ but I'm willing to go up if it is necessary.

I want to record all of this into my macbook with Garageband. I know that Garageband isn't ideal for a DAW but It's easy and well...I'm pretty much a noob by definition given my number of posts. I also have a windows laptop with pro tools installed if that is a required component.

So my biggest question is, does this work? I looked at many of the guides ect. but I still really don't know what I'm doing. If I buy the drum mic-kit and the interface is that all of the equipment I need to start? Finally if anybody can point me to an 8 input interfaces for a similar price as the US-600 that would be great,

From what I have heard the pyle mic kit isn't that bad of a deal, but you would need something to plug all the mics in. If you aren't looking for super quality you could pick up a mixer from a pawn shop and plug that into the interface you have. I have used a Fostex MR-8 for the kit and a tascam dp-008 for overheads. Sync 'em up with a snare pop and invert the snare signal in my DAW. I have been very satisfied with the outcome. You can get each individual track on your computer and do what you need. There are a lot of resources on this forum if you do some searching. Something I try to really tackle is getting something good out of what you have. You can be resourceful on a budget and still get great recordings. Of course, having something other than a usb mic would be helpful.

Even if you go with the Pyle pro, you'll likely want to experiment with multi miking your drums in the future. Might be worth trawling fleabay for a second hand US1800. They often come up in your price range.
