Does this make sense?

Would it make any sense to record a guitar thru a v-amp2, and then have the single go thru a dmp3 mic pre? Would the dmp3 make the guitar sound any better, or it would do absolutely nothing besides boosting the signal?

Or likewise, would it make sense to run the guitar thru the mic pre, then to the v-amp 2?

im recording to my computer through a delta 1010lt sound card.

Never tried it so you never know, but:

1) The DMP is designed to take low level signals and bring them up to line level- PRE-amplifying them for mixing or recording.

2) The V-amp is designed to have a guitar plugged into and, do its thing, and output a line level signal for mixng, recording, or the PA.

So, electrically, adding the DMP3 either before or after would either screw things up or be redundant. In other words- DMP before the v-amp doesn't work unless the v-amp has a line input. Try it if it does, but DON'T plug the output of the DMP into the guitar input of the V-amp. Also try it after the V-amp. It probably won't do much, but you might like what little it does.
