Does Reaper talk to Sonar? And vice-versa?

Hello all,

I'm looking at Reaper as a DAW, because I have heard so many good things about it and because it is priced so reasonably. I have a good friend who is using Sonar (I think 9) in his studio. Will it be easy for us to exchange any files that we are working on?

Thanks.

You can export any track from one sequencer to another as a plain .wav file.
Reaper will export all your tracks as .wav stem files in one go.

But no sequencer opens another's native files.

Easiest thing would be for you to both use Reaper, but you can trade .wav files back and forth any time.

Thanks. I don't think it's likely that he'll be making changes in his DAW choice, as he's a long-time Sonar user. My guess is that trading the wav files would be adequate. I'll ask him.
