Does N-track 3.x have "automatable effects"?

Sorry if that's a missuse of the term "automatable effects" What I'm looking for is the ability to set effects to come in or out, or change certain parameters within a track by drawing envelopes or remembering my real-time adjustments. I've used N-track 2 point something for a while but to be honest, there's still a lot about it I don't know. If it can do this, I never figured out how. I've dipped my toe into the world of Cakewalk and just about got my leg bit off so I'm comin' home. At least for now.

Yeah, it does. However it doesn't do it very well sometimes...but it is possible, yep.

Sure, you can draw envelopes for the aux send and/or return volumes. You can also draw effects parameters envelopes.
 
Can you do this in 2.x too? Not that it really matters at this point, since I don't have 2.x anymore...
