Does changing to vintage tube really make a discernable difference in a mic preamp?

Before I commit to this on my BlueTube, I want to know if it'll make me sound like a radio host.

Will you sound like a radio host? On the basis of a change of tube alone, I would say no.

More important wil be what your voice is like normally, the microphone you use, and how you use it.

Big +1.
If you want a radio station sound, think about radio station gear and environment.
Of course the voice is crucial, but you got it or you don't.

There's a range of different radio voice sounds, but I immediately think of that really dead, close sound.
Get yourself some thick absorbent panels and get very close to the mic for that.
I'd recommend a dynamic for that reason....sm7b/re20..even a 58.

Of course plenty of radio hosts use condensers, but their environment is probably very well controlled.
They can afford to be further back and still get that dead sound.

You'll probably want to limit/compress quite heavily I guess, and just to set it off stick some music on with a sidechain comp out of the vocal to squash it when you speak. ;)

Coupla jingles and a phone-in and Boom. You're done.

Yup, and you gotta have comedy characters.....

<Ding dong>, Oh look...It's Camp David.....
