I just purchased and installed this beast, and I am having problems comming up with useful programs to use with it.
I have cool edit pro, n-track and cake walk home studio.
The only program that recognizes it is cool edit pro, It is disturbing me, because I spent a few dollars getting the system, and If I can't use it , I will obviously be a little annoyed. So if anyone out there has any experiance with it, please send help immediately......

Every single audio software title I've tried recognizes my Core 2. I have no clue as to why you're having this problem.

I've used the following with the Core 2 without issues:

Cubase, Nuendo, Cakewalk, Samplitude, Cool Edit 2000, Wavelab, Logic Audio.

Sit back, cool down and think, what settings in your software you may have missed. Since your Core works under Cool Edit, it means that the card itself is OK. I think that your other software may not be set correctly (been through that myself).

I have to agree with the previous replies. Make sure all of your settings are correct in the different software applications. Also, before I got my Core 2, a friend of mine had one and he told me to install all of my apps before installing the drivers for the Core 2. Not sure if that really made a difference but I've used alot of different software and haven't had any problems with them recognizing the Core 2.

Also, does anyone know if the ADAT 8 ch. I/O works only for ADATs or if it will work with other machine that use the same I/O(e.g. Tascam dig recorder, DATs). I tried with a friends Tascam dig recorder and couldn't make it work.
