Hi, I'm new to this forum, and to the forum thing, so I hope I'm approaching this the right way...
I've been looking online every night for a week to find a users manual for my rx 9, and I have been unable to find it.
I recently purchased it off eBay to go with my A 3440 R2R. I understand what it is supposed to do, sort of, but I would like to read how to use it, the rx 9 specifically, so I fully understand what to do and what is happening, etc.
Does anyone know where I can find a copy, or does anyone have one?
Thanks, Jonnycat

I did a google and found one on ebay UK for £6 and one on a free download site, first 2 hits.

Ditto...RX-9 Service Manual pdf free no waiting no hassles...Google "Teac RX-9 pdf"

Hi Thanks for that, but when I actually open up the pdf its a service manual, not operators/owners. I have found TONS of misleading download sites, but they all seem to have the service manual and NOT the owners manual.

I found one too for sale, but was hoping that someone would know where there was one I could view, or copy. I'm not too happy about spending money, no matter how little, on information that I believe should be more readily accessible.

Thanks, Jonnycat

I know, that has happened to me before Sigh!

The free thing is a modern view on life. People expect things for free. I used to write operation manuals for equipment and it was often time consuming and expensive, often we would have to send it out for real printing. Why do people think that a manual should be free any more than other spare parts of the device?

I think it is great that some companies put the manuals out for free now, but remember that with old gear it was all printed before the days of computers and now somebody would actually now have to sit down an scan a good copy of a manual for every piece of gear they have made for just a few people that don't have a manual. Not having a dig at you personally but pointing out why not all manuals are free.

Cheers

I can respect that perspective.
I was just hoping that, just like in the case of Wikipedia, that someone had donated their time and efforts to upload information that would be helpful/useful to others, (or me), not necessarily the company, just someone who wanted to share the info to help others.

If the RX-9 manual is anything like the RX-8 manual, (which is available from hifiengine.com for free), you're not really going to get a whole lot more information then what the service manual tells you. It's basic hook up info, specs, button function descriptions, and a few standard safety precautions.

If you're looking for a long winded manual with lots of good info on the dbx system, read the manual for the dbx 224 noise reduction unit! The Teac ones are extremely brief and dry in comparison.

Cheers! :)

Thanks for that idea, I like more info rather than less, so I'll try for the dbx 224.
