My local music store has a matched pair of samson sdc's for
under $200.does anyone have experience with these?would
they be okay for acoustic guitar?what other application would they be good for?

Made by Tenlux Electronics in Taiwan. I've got an eval pair of the Superlux multi-cap SD's here and I think they're good mics and a great value. I wouldn't pay more than $129 for a cardioid pair, and I think I've seen them for less than that.

I don't know what kind of pres they used with the mics, I've only heard them with a Millennia HV-3D.
