Just curious, this was one of the most bang for the bucks pieces of equiptment that I ever bought.

Hey GT hows it going?Ya I got one about almost 2 years ago..Its pretty good..I use it as a effects box and a remote for my Dat deck . Proboly will use it next to sub mix some midied keys..I havent used it in a while but when I need it it sure comes in handy..I didnt pay much for it I think it was $125.00 ..Great little mixer! Hey Henri,

I got mine at Musicians Friend for $100.00 close out. I didn't even have to pay tax.

I mean come on, a four channel digital mixer, with built in effects for that price, is unheard of.

I like that you can really pinpoint channel level with numarical precision.

I use mine as vocal proccesor, and for drum machine treble attenuation, and I still have one channel left, may try acoustic on it.

I love a bargain, this seems to be a real sleeper.

I bet Ed is kicking himself for not getting one. HA HA!

GT..$100.00 bucks you win!!:-] Ed ah..Ya its the new miniature Sony Oxford with the Amek preamps.LOL.. Seriously...It really is a great little mixer/effect box
for the cash..I'm surprised that the guys who use the small computer setups dont utilise these things for there front ends.. A/D conversion 2 non phantom powered mic pres plus 2 line inputs, heaphone monitoring, multiple effects..I guess they never really took off!

Henri,

Picture Ed bragging about a $100.00 signal path! Would that be funny or what?

Fostex seems to have a bad wrap, I don't know this is the first and only Fotex gear I've bought, and it seems pretty good, and for the price it was in a class by itself.

I haven't even used the scene recall yet, how about you?

I think I may use it on Halloween, to turn house into echo chamber, using slow delay. I will hide a mic by the front door, and when the kid say trick or treat the house will echo....echo....echo, you get the picture.

I think that would be his version of hell!On the recall...I havent had the need to yet..They still do the trick or treat thing where you are ?Here in Orlando they go to the malls and do there trick or treating there...When I was a kid I lived in Salem Massacusetts
Trick or treating was great there.Things dont seem as fun for the kids as they used to!

VM04

I also bought one in a close out sale for $100. I am very impressed with the product. I have made very nice recordings through it by digital optical cable into a home stereo CD recorder. I like the effects as well.
The unit is somewhat difficult to use, there is a learning curve. The investment of time is well worth the quality of output.
This unit has earned Fostex a lot of respect in my eyes.
