Does anybody recognize this mic?

Yup, that lools like a U47, the older tube version. What confused me at first is that the shock mount is from a B.L.U.E. Kiwi. Cool. If I ever have the scratch to buy a U47 (don't hold your breath), I'll have a shock mount for it.-Richie
 
It could very well be a U47 long body. After stopping the clip to look closely it doesn't have the flattened top that the U47 has in its grill. It isn't completely round like it looks to be in this clip. If its completely round I'd say its a Wunder Audio CM7. Hard to tell though.
 
Almost certainly *not* a Neumann - it's most likely a modern copy - could be a FLEA or a Wunder, or maybe another copy, I can't tell enough from the video.
 
Good pickup Philgood! I admit it does look like the Wunder CM7- a might-as-well-be U47. I hadn't noticed the slight difference in the top of the grill, and I've never seen a Wunder in person. I thought the tuchel connector was a giveaway, but they use it on the Wunder also.-Richie

Yeah! Externally Wunder is virtually identical in every way except that. That's the only detail they miss. Internally they're not off by a lot either. The only thing that's different is the choice of output and filtering capacitors. I've heard shootouts where the Wunder was almost indistinguishable from a real U47. In a blind test I couldn't tell them apart.

Interesting - because if you had six U47s, they would all sound different. :D

But I have to agree that the FLEA and the Wunder are the best of the copies (I think that FLEA actually make some of the parts for Wunder).
 
For a good 47 copy, I would also recommend Lawson L47 MKII, which I *have* used.-Richie

Never were more true words ever spoken, but if you were to ask Klause Heyne he'd say any mic tech worth their salt would know what a "true" 47 sounds like.

FLEA also makes the basic mechanics for the Berliner U77.
