Does anybody care about EV N/D 408's anymore?

I don't see nearly as much hype about these mics as I used to back in the day. I just got a 408 and 4 408B's in a trade, and I'm not sure if I'm going to hang onto them or not. I used to have good results on drums with them (like everyone else), never used them on anything else, though. Is anybody nuts over these, does anyone hate them, what are some opinions in the modern day? Thanks!

I've got half a dozen left over from live sound in the lots-o'-toms days. They are still my go-to for close-mic'ing drummers with bad aim. They have that great low-mid beefiness without booming. I find them to be good on things that can be shrill in the high-mids, like certain guitar/amp combinations and horns. I try to make my first step mic choice and placement before eq, and they certainly have their place.

To be brief, I might not always use them, but I won't ever sell them.
