Do you think I have potential to sing?

Hi, this is my first post and I'm pretty new to singing. Ive been playing mostly guitar but started to sing a couple a weaks ago, just for fun. But I really want to know what u think, if I have any skills to achieve a good voice

You're not going to be the next winner of American Idol (well, scratch that). But I assume you know that already. The more important question is, can your voice work effectively in the right song? I think so. This isn't the right song. The melody is droning and doesn't compliment your voice. My suggestion would be do a bunch of covers. Find songs you like and can sing comfortably. Practice them a bunch of times and then record the results. That takes the songwriting part out of the equation and lets you focus on developing your vocals.

I'm not trying to snarky. If you listen to any of my songs on the MP3 Clinic you'll see I'm in a similar situation. I do not have a "good" voice. My challenge is to find a way to make the voice that I do have work in the context of the songs I am recording.

A lot of us struggle with our voices. Practice practice practice. In your case, I'd advise to get a vocal coach you can work with, aas it seems you are struggling to hold pitch, and that is something that proper training will assist with.
