Do you know a good compressor for the Fender American Deluxe Guitar?

Hi!

I play in a cover band and our genres are famous pop, pop-rock and even some house music. The guitarist has the Fender American Deluxe version.

He wants to find a compressor pedal that could delicately handle the dynamics without squashing it, but at the same time compress it neatly. Mid-range budget.

Any suggestions?
 
A pedal? Nobody threw you a bone?

MXR Dynacomp , Boss CS-3, or something more modern would be a Barber Tone Press.

Honestly, I put as little in front of the preamp as possible. I have only a handful of pedals. A tubescreamer, a Distortion +, a Metalzone...CS-3.
 
That's the kind of thing you have to try out to know. I have an ancient Yamaha compressor pedal that I really like, but it's probably discontinued.

A lot of how a compressor sounds is how you set it, so it's possible any number of models would work when adjusted to taste.
