The last version I know of is CW Metro 5. I checked it out once, and thought it pretty much sucked. That was years ago.

There are much better apps for Mac. PT, DP, Logic etc. Just depends on what you want to do, and how you like to work. I prefer PT myself, but I come from the analog world. Logic or DP are better for sequencing though the latest version of PT is much improved in that dept.

Yeah Metro really didn't cut it so CW dropped it. It is still being sold by the creator's own company but it looks and feels NOTHING like CW pro or SONAR. Logic is fantastic, and not all that hard to learn, but recently I demo'd Ableton Live 5 on the mac and I think it is brilliant. I will be buying it next month (Christmas ate up the budget this month).

Many people will say that Live is more for DJ's and Electronic Musicians using the app at live shows, but after spending several hours with it and reading about it, I can say it holds it's own with any DAW I've used.

What sucks though, is that no matter what app I use, I am never as happy with midi editing as I am with SONAR on my PC. I have tried the midi on nearly every app that offers midi editing and I really think SONAR's is the best. Oh well.
