do they all sound the same?

I went to the Betamonkey website, and I tried some of the sample loops and they all sounded different. I'm looking for a pack of different drum beats that was recorded with the same kit and same micing techniques so I can make an album and have it sound cohesive. Maybe these samples don't do it justice. Some of them sound good but I want them to all have at least the same sound.

Any-1 else have links to real-sounding drum tracks (and please, NO FRUITY LOOPS)?

Thx!

I have been looking for friggin years. I have 2 CDs I made using wave samples gotten off of net searches. i am starting to use Gigastudio to play these samples. When I get my system ironed out, I intend to "build" great sounding drumsets. Until then. The best sounding "loops" are from the link above. I have about 2000 real drum samples to wade through to find my "drumsets" This is the best solution I can find at the moment.

Good Luck.

I have the Beta Monkey loops. On each CD you will have several folders, something like this:

77_BPM_Mellow_Grooves/
90_BPM_Rock_Beats/
86_BPM_Jazzy_Rhythms/

In each folder are 20+ loops that were all recorded at the same session, with the same mics and the same drummer on the same kit. There are loops, fills, endings, etc. in each folder.

Listen to the loops at Doolydrums.com. There are a ton of them. They seem to sound good, but I can't tell because I only heard them on my computer monitors.

Check 'em before you wreck 'em!
