That's a nice sonding guitar man!!!

That's all DI still? Sounds damn good.

Nice pickin Dan. Very clean. You're pushing it with the bass. It had my sub thumping!. Great vocal sound but I would add a touch of compression to help it sit on top of the mix a little better. That's a great melody.

Is that DI guitar? Where's the V67 you got?

DTB,

I like the song. I actually like the first version better. I think that your new guitar sounds very DI. The first version seems to have a nice shape to it. The second is a bit to squashed. If you mic that thing and blend the two (Direct and Mic'd) together, I bet it would be the best yet. I like the vocals for the tune too. Sounds very cool. Thanks for letting us check it out.

jag, yeah, all DI, checking out the sounds. Hope to mix mic'ed and DI soon. thanks.

Hey Tex, a new little guitar with electronics. I'm working my way to the mic. Just trying some new sounds with this guitar. thanks.

Fangar, thanks friend. Yes, I will be doing the mic thing too. Just doing different things. I'm with you, I bet it'll sound real nice both mic'ed and DI. It sounds some kind of good thru my little 30w Park amp. I'll prob. try mic'ing the cab too.

Thanks for the listen folks.

Just a great guitar sound. Wonderful. Liked the way the two parts played off of each other.

Sounds like you had a little trouble singing it. The low notes seemed a little hard to hit.

Just a suggestion to try... Maybe don't pan the guitars quite as much. It's a little weird on headphones.

3-M, I'm no singer, I'm a picker. he he he he he he. Singing is just a sideline. And you are correct, I have trouble with low notes, mid notes, and high notes. I'll check the panning too. Sometimes it's easy to pan funky, when you listen back at high volume. Drunk again. Thanks for the listen and the suggestions.

sounds cool dtb.. I'm not sure if I like the new acoustic sound better, but it's still very usable.. your tunes are always calming..

That is a nice DI'd tone D. I cant get a DI'd tone near that full on my ac. guit. and P/u.
I must be out of the loop..... what kind of guit did you get? ...and what kind of P/u is on that guit.

I like the mic'd tone a little better if compared to eachother, but as Sam mentioned.... this is VERY usable.
g

btw: nice tune man!!!

B. man, I'm with you. I think it will have it's place in some of my shit. It's a blast to play. I'm still checking out different ideas with it. New toys are great.

G., if you didn't catch the other thread; It's a Michael Kelly acoustic electric, with the Classic 4 Fishman sound system (under saddle pick-up and built in pre-amp). It's from the same folks that I got my mando from. And yes, the Martin is still the ticket. The MK instruments are production made units from Korea. Inexpensive, sold direct, and the most beautiful boxes I've seen. I think they are the best imports in their price range.

Go here for a pic.

Thanks fellows.

Sounds good for a DI. I Like this one better than the first ("Now/w new guitar). I to would like to hear it with a mic and direct together. I bet that would sound great.

BTW: Did you guy your guitar direct or off ebay? I'm in the market for a new acoustic and might check these guys out. I'm currently using a crappy plywood Alvarez that I stole from my brother last year.

Thanks for the tune
Dennis

Real nice. this take lets the warmth of the wood come thru a little better than the last. I didnt know you could holler in tune! :) you sing ok man I enjoyed it. There`s no real substitute for that bass sound. One of the most pleasant sounds in nature. Nice story..

Dennis, thanks man, no, not on ebay. I got it direct from their web site www.michaelkellyguitars.com . But if you go to ebay and find Mailbox Music in the ebay stores, you'll see some of their stuff that's blemished. Hey, and Alvarez rules. I have a D-18 copy of their's that my wife bought 25 years ago. Killer box.

Toki, thanks, the Rythum Track 123 has some great bass sounds on it.

Thanks guys, for the listen and comments.

nice to hear people can afford new instruments!!

has that squeezed, DI sound, but very appropriate for a lot of stuff. I actually like the sound mixed in with a full band over a real mic'd ordeal, as it cuts thru better, and I almost prefer the sound sometimes. Whomper bass there!!

Watch the beer and those leads!!

Guitar sounds good, though direct. I too sometimes like that DI sound--but definitely try the mic and DI mix--sometimes its killer! And don't knock your voice either. Maybe you don't consider yourself a singer, but I hear a strong vocal personality wanting to come out. Sounds like you are holding back right now, or just possibly in a key that could go up a step or so. I get the feeling you can holler like mad when you want to!

Very nice pickin Dan! New guitar sounds great man. Like the sound of the tune overall.

mixmkr, drunk again, and just trying different sounds. Thanks for the listen. More experimenting to come.

crawdad, thanks fellow. I try. And I like singing. It's a mood thing. And I will be trying other tracking methods with the new box.

Axe, thanks a lot.

??????

you did use good quality panty hose didn't you? LOL"
