I'M BLESSED.......
Do anyone know if there is such a product either in the making, or already made, the relates to the following.....
A pair of headphones that is just as effective as a "Real good" monitors. Reason being, is that I know it's best to mix with your monitors loud, but if there was such headphones that give you the same flat sound needed, the same you would find in good monitors, it could eliminate the "Noise factor" that many of us "Homerecorders" try to avoid........Due to our surroundings....

The AKG K240 is the closest one I ever found to monitors. They are real flat and extremely nice. Still mixing in a headphone is not recommended, you wont get the proper spacing.

T-Spade,
Where in the bloody bean you from?I'm about 10 miles away in Woburn, been here for 6 years but I'm from Roxbury.

............one......

I'm in Randolph PGM,but from Codman SQ. area in Dorchester....

T,
Aight,I went to Dorchester High a couple years....I remember hangin out in the square with them Norfolk Kings cats......those were the days

I understand the importance of Monitors, the spacing, ear level, and the purpose that they serve. My question was not to say that Monitors are not needed !
I was just curious about technologic advancements that may have some type headphone system that could give you exactly that which a "Good" pair of monitors offer, but yet with less noise.
Actually, I would go out on a limb and say if there isn't such a product, there has got to be some whiz kid somewhere close to inventing something of that sort......That's all I was saying........
Coming from a standpoint of how technology has made the production of music so much easier. I'm sure years from now, mastering software, and things of that sort which is complicated to do now, will become an art even to a newbie because of technologic advancements.

Just a thought!

I feel where you coming from, but I hope to God not. Bad enough everybody wants to be, or thinks they are a dj/producer/mc already.

If I had my way, kids would still be begging their parents for fucking guitars. One of the saddest days of my life was when I read that more dj mixers were sold than guitars in the UK a year or two ago. This wave of the electronic music/dj explosion we're living in is more radio static than music worthy of being on the radio or wax. I don't even tell people I write music when I meet 'em. If another garbage-assed, wanna-be motherfucker tells me that he/she is all that and they proceed to suck ass I think I might puke on their kicks.
[end rant]

Nonetheless, I feel ya. ;)

True Dat Flo...........
It is indeed true that because of the affordability and accessibility of many products on the market, many people are involved in Home recording, more than ever. And what does that do? Just what you said, it floods the streets with wannabe producers who has more desire than talent. I guess back in the day having a guitar made you hungry, but now clicking your mouse on a computer generated sound module makes you feel inclined to "Produce"......I guess that is also relative to alot of the garbage that is played on the radio, but thats a mixture of the "No talent/but "I got connections" scheme.......
But I feel you, you're right!
