I want to record a vocal track all the way through a song, then play that track while singing along in harmony onto another track (using headphones to keep sound isolated, if i can). Repeat until I have 4 separate tracks. (well, I won't be singing all the parts myself, i'm not that good)
Then, make 4 finals, 1 with a single track on the left channel, and the other 3 on the right, repeated until I have 4 finals, each one with a different part on the left channel.
I assume I can get by with one mic and a pair of head phones, if it can be done at all.
This is going to be making 4 practice tapes (CD's) to learn a 4 part harmony song for a choir. It's a lot easier to learn whith your part cranked up, then fade your part out as you get more comfortable with it.
The reason I say DMT-8 is, I have a broken one, and if it can do this, then I'll put the work into fixing it up. I don't have the book, so I turned to the internet.
I have an Audigy 2 Platinum, with SPDIF (and optical,...), can I use that as an input to my PC?
Thanks
