Anybody still have the instructions or old posts on how to configure this . I want transport, arming, erc, ect.

Just got a new DM-24 and its not as close to the TMD4000 as I thought it would be. Ima have to read on this one.

Tascam, bring back the f@cking forums.

Malcolm, They won't. The Tascam bbs is gone forever. They won't bring them back because of all of the bad PR they were getting. I can't help you with the DM24 as I sold mine during the summer. Just picked a Yamaha 01v96. It has a remote layer that will control just about everything in Cubase. I just miss the DM24 automation. The 01v96 has only scene automation and I am searching for a way to trigger it from Cubase.

Good luck with the board.

Control Surface

Malcolm,
I went through total HELL with Cakewalk regarding MMC, MTC (and some other stuff), but they eventually listened, and sorted most of it out.

I got one Control Surface from a guy named Chris Boucher (try him at chris@sorted.org), his link says it's in a Sonar 2.1 update. I can't verify this, as it seems Cakewalk.com is down (??)
I tried attaching a screenshot of it to this reply.

Another one (I can't tell you if it works or not) is at:
MMC Control Surface at TonArt. If this doesn't work, and the 2.1 update doesn't have it, I can email Chris' dll file to you, but it may not be the latest version.

Note that Sonar doesn't put out proper MTC until you upgrade to Sonar 3. With MTC coming from Sonar to the DM-24, you can have the DM-24 synched to Sonar (you'll see the DM-24 SMPTE counter counting) and use all that marvelous automation.

I miss the forums too. Personally, I thought it was great PR for them to have it, they seemed pretty responsive for a time. I guess it was exposing too many problems to the public? A shame.
