I would'nt say "working for them" It just goes like this.....

1. you record a band.

2. after the sessions are up you recommend Diskmakers for there cd dulplucating.

3. If they decide to use diskmakers, you get sertin % of the total amout of ther bill. (Ex: $2500 total. your cut: $125) Plus you get a framed plack with a cd of your work inside ( sorta like a gold record frame)

Sure, you may be "working" for them, but you lose NOTHING.
it is absolutely FREE!

what if you don't believe in their company? what if their company is the most expensive company for duplication out there? i don't think they are, but........don't u want ur customers to get the best deal possible?

i dunno.......i personally wouldn't want to endorse them....which is basically what ur doing............the reason is i would prefer the band to do their own research for duplication...because i know that diskmakers is one of the higher priced duplication companies and i wouldn't want the band to find out that they could have gotten a better deal if they hadn't gone with my recomendation........you could lose customers that way.......it could make u sound like a jackass

That's true but basicly the whole reason that i got in the studio partner program was just to get the free stuff. I don't think that i would recimmend them to my customers. i would have them look at CHRISTAL. It's a company in Tennisee that can print arould 200 cds for $300 or something like that.

Sorry, but i was'nt Trying to be a "know-it-all" I just wanted to pass this on to my friends here at the bss. I was not TELLING anybody to do it.

i wasn't trying to sound like an ass zeke....i was jsut pointing out that it may be bad for business.......and that's just my opinion......

The studio I work at joined up for that thing. We haven't had even one client want to use their service. There are other duplicators offering much better prices. Also, the paltry percentage they offer didn't offer much compensation for the amount of time we would spend to use their service and be credited of the referral. I don't remember the specifics, but the studio owner just didn't feel it was worth the hassle, and we didn't want to recommend a more expensive service to our clients.

Cool to get the free stuff though! :)
