discman man!

Is it possible to hook my portable discman up to a couple of speakers, if so how? is the quality as good as a hi-fi system if the quality of the discman is good.can anyone reccomend some reasonably priced speakers for the job. My discman is a sony E-2000(I think) I dont think it has a line out .
 
Yes you can hook it up to small speakers. Some companies make speakers just for that purpose. However, it won't be able to drive much more than small speakers, they won't be very loud, and it won't sound great.

You could also use some PC speakers that are powered to get more volume and a better sound.

Generally it won't even be close to a quality system.
