Hi

I've got a lot of old lyrics laying around that were once part of songs that never got recorded. I've no use for them as i rarely put old lyrics to new music. I do think some of them are pretty good and was wondering if there's any commercial call for verse that is written mainly for alternative rock/pop. Could you perhaps direct me to a place where i can sell the pieces? In the first place, have a read and let me know what you think. I'm quite self assured about the quality so please be honest. If you hate it, say so and why, i won't be offended. It may not read write as you obviously don't know the melody it went with and i do tend to write to the music rather than the other way around. I've written far better but they'll be on the album ;))

Bug on a breeze

She comes to me
A place on the outskirts of town
Where armies play for silver
And the birds scavenge all around
We have our place
On Bunkers hill amongst the strays
Fishwives and ugly business
that go with the territory

She comes to me
A place on the outskirts of town
Drunk and blue
A dress, upset and shining hair let down
She comes to me
On the outskirts of town
She comes to me
Like a bug on the breeze

We work by night.
Packing salt that makes you rough to touch
And walk at dawn
On beaches jagged, littered, lost

She comes to me
Whitewashed , sanded, floating on a breeze
And takes to bed
Until dusk pulls in
And the moon rolls in the sea
She comes to me (x2)
Like a bug on the breeze

Discarded lyics?

Hmmm?

Why don't you send them to me. I'll look them over. I know a few people who might be interested if they are any good.

Send my all of your discarded melodies also. There are gangs of melody hunters out there.

Hey badgas

Thanks for the reply.

It might be helpful if you tell me who the people are and what type of stuff they're looking for.

I'll be more than happy to send a few over if you can say what you like like/ dislike about this one. I'll then have more of an idea of which ones you might be interested in.

Cheers

Mark
