Dogman

Unkle Ticklefingers
Here's a short piece I am working on for a home video. A little repetetive, but hopefully soon, it will become a whole song.

How did you record the drums? They sound pretty good.
The Drums are from Drumkit From Hell Superior. Just a monotonous beat I made, that somewhat fit the tune. Thanks for listening.

Big guitar sound there Dog, and a mean sounding riff. Those drums sound great too. Nice and real sounding. Can't wait to hear this finished with some changes, etc...Off to a good, mean and nasty start.

Can't help but notice the "#3" part of the song name. :p.

I should just pay you to do my drums. :)

I'd like your secret on the cool guitar sound! Why can't mine sound like that. My guitar always sound like wimps.

I know it's repetitive but it would sound so perfect with a bank heist scene in a movie. The more high-tech the better. The scene. I'm talking about the movie here.

Back to the music, cool. :)

Hey, Rami and Bubba, thanks. I've been working on it a bit more, and did finally put some more change-ups in the drums. Not being a drummer, it's kind of hard to figure out what sounds good, and what just mucks everything up. I've had the program a few weeks now, but this is my first real attempt. I have a second part to the rythum, but haven't figured the drums for it out, so it could take a while. I might try and post something later, if I get it done.
But, thanks for the listen. And encouragement. The song sounds really cool in my head, and I hope it winds up at least ok, when done. :D

It's got a very Metallica sound to it...cool! Drums and gits sound heavy...nice.

Thanks, man. Still has a long way to go, but hopefully it will turn out to be a decent tune.

I gotta be straight up honest with you.

I am digging that guitar tone like a mother fucker. That says BADASS all over it.

HUGE.

Nice riffs too man

Can't wait to hear the final mix :)

Love the guitars. That drumkit from hell thing sounds good, im going to have to look into that. How were the guitars done? Really looking forward to hearing more of this.

Take Care

System, Gary, thanks guys. This is just a start, but I did post a version in the songwriting clinic, looking for a bit of help. It has the 3 chord progressions I have so far, all done to a simple drum track.
ANYONE interested in helping me out, here is the thread...
Stuck

The guitars in this version, were direct, thru my POD. In the songwriting clinic, it's 2 guitars, one direct, one mic'd with a fairly inexpensive Nady. No bass in that version, but a bit better drums.
Here is the link to the basics....Grey

Again, thanks for listening. Appreciate any comments.

You know the program DOG!!!! :D :D :D

Outta my head!!

There just seems to be so much ass-kickin' goin' on round here lately!! ;)

Man DOG, I have been singing with this, and it is a kick ass get down growling tune that gets me revved!!! Vrrrrrrrooooom, vrrrrrrrrooooooooooom!! :D It really is some get down nasty dirty sounds. I love it!!

Wow Dogman. Remember when I said you'd be kicking asses soon? Well you're there. There's something about the rhythmic play between the guitars and drums that seems to sling the 2 bar passage cyclically into each repetition in a way that gives the subconscious effect of "wait... wait.... I want to hear it go around again". It doesn't sound repetitious. Maybe it's the fingers-on-the-strings noises every few beats, maybe it's the double hit on the snare that happens every few bars, maybe the elasticity of the pulse, maybe it's the bigness of the gtr sound, dunno. Just has a very good feel to it. You're onto something here.

Tim

True, Tim, thanks much!!! Appreciate it. True, if you got some lyrics, put em up girl!!! I have some, but it is all up in the air at the moment.

And Tim, glad you liked it. I have many ideas, but getting them from the head, onto some form of media, can be tough. Playing with your version of Come Together gave me a break, and all of the sudden, this popped up. Thanks for helping me take a step back, and several forward. You don't know how cool that is.

True dat! I have this piece I'm working on and it sound just amazing the way I imagine it. I mean it sounds big with an entire orchestra behind it and a couple of big crashing guitars done funky metal style and I mean the works.

On the computer it just sounds like boom chuck boom chuck with that smiley-faced-eq sound that everybody has come to associate with my tracks. :) LOL.

Well now I know who to turn to when I need the BIG BAD MUTHERFUCKING GUITAR!!!!

:)

Seriously it sounds good hell just turn the loop into a rap song that way you don't have to worry about its repetivness... :D

Now, that is a good idea. I really like some of the stuff Everlast does, but have never found a way to do anything quite as catchy. Might have to look into it.... :D Of course, my voice doesn't sound that good, but hey, Lemmy can rap, right?
Only problem is, some of those guys can speak really fast, and you still understand them. I'm not sure anyone would understand me even if I spoke slowly... :(

Pod really does rock!

After some serious thinking (Years) it looks like I'll be selling my Mesa Boogie Recto and buying that POD! I'll sound better AND have plenty of money left to heat my home comfortably this winter! Rumor has it that POD's sound better with age too! (Not to mention no wasted money on tubes!)
