Digitech "Vocalist Access" Harmonizer question

When I purchased my "Vocalist Access" harmonizer I was under the impression that the harmonies would follow pre-recorded music, as well as the live input (I, in fact, read this in the product description at a site that I can't remember). The machine will indeed follow my MIDI keyboard, but when I MIDI my QY700 music sequencer into the unit I get no conformity. I know that the harmonizer is receiving the MIDI data, but it does not respond to it. Does anyone have any experience with this?
 
Do you have the MIDI channel you're sending the data on matched to the MIDI channel that the Vocalist is recieving on? The MIDI LED on any machine will light up whenever any kind of MIDI data is passing through the device,but the device will only respond to messages sent on the channel(s) it is set to recieve on(in this case).Cheers!

Thanks for coming to my aid again. I am pretty sure that I have the units matched - as far as MIDI channels are concerned. However, I will double check this. Peace.
