Yes!
many people will probably say no, but I say definitely yes!!
If you want to hear it used, check out the b.sabbath thread in the mp3 clinic or press my 'WWW' button.. The first few songs on my page were done using the DV300, a Blue Max compressor, and an SM58.. I'm not sure what type of music your doing, but it's packed with a lot of rediculous effects..
Of course you should get the most expensive thing you can afford, but this thing works great for me..
for now..
I don't need my voice coming through any clearer than this yet..
