Linux Man...
I have a digitech RP-10 that is a few years old. I got it in a trade from a guy who owed me money and I knew he would never give it to me, so I took his processor. It really wasn't working that well. I replaced all the switches and LEDs with parts ordered from digitech. Now all buttons and the expression pedal works, but the unit spurratically shuts off every now and then. I don't know how to fix it. I already checks the power supply for a short, and replaced the jack that goes into the RP-10 itself. If somebody knows how I could get it to not shut off, I would be grateful, or if someone wants it, 135$ is the asking price.

Well, the obvious problem is that it's made by Digitech. :) I have two effects processors made by Digitech that I purchased a long time ago before I knew anything about equipment, so I can say they suck from experience. I had problems with the fuse (or something to do with that) in one of mine and it was doing a similar thing for a while, except if was mostly off and I could get it work every now and then for a few minutes. I paid to have this fixed, and now of course it's completely dead. If it's got an accesible fuse, check it out and see. Who knows, I'm just guessing.

When my unit finaly died, stupid me, I went out and picked up the newest Digitech model multi effects processor right afterwards and now a few years later it is giving me problems where the volume decreases ramdomly every now and then. When I switch patches the volume is back to normal. This doesn't happen all that much, but once a month is bad enough when I'm recording something and it decides to drop the volume 50%. At least you only paid for yours with money you would never see again otherwise.

How do I re-initalize the board? I heard that might help.

Well I figured out how to re-initalize it, and now it works for about 5 seconds, then after that, it just locks in on whatever parameters are set. You can't change a thing, but you can still play through it, just with thtose settings though. Still open to ideas on how to fix it.
