What type of recordes do you use? I am getting the Fostex VF 160.

Why is your recorder good for hip hop?

Just thought I would throw a topic out there

Never seen so many people record stuff without recorders
 
I use a VS1680...

I think just about any recorder will be good for hiphop. It's not really the equipment, it's about how you use it.

Did you get it yet?
 
Yep

16 tracks of hip hop power.
I have been bring in my crew to lay bass line and melodies down to beats.

the recording quality is a lot better than the Boss 532 that I have been using.

Now I just have to work on vocals which I will bring up in a new topic.

I am thinking of getting a compressor. Any Ideas on what to get.

i use a DAW
but i've considered the Korg D1600

as for compressor the standard recommandation here is the RNC i can't attest to it as i have never used one do a search for compressors on this forum
