Can someone tell me how I would go about using my laptop with Cool Edit Pro?
I have a 2.8mhz processor with 512 ram but a AC97 sound card that sounds terrible when trying to record onto my laptop. I am not really up on tech specs so please reply in laymans terms. I have a 2.4 mhz 512 ram w/ soundblaster live soundcard for my desktop computer and I have no problem recording on it but I don't have the mobility like I do using my laptop to take to band rehearsals, live gigs etc. Can someone rcommend an external sound card that is economical and practical that will solve this problem?
