Linux Man...
What digital mixers are people using? What do you like or dislike about them? I would like to interface my ADAT into my MOTU 2408 using some sort of digital console. I am not sure which one though, I have looked at the HUI, but then I am limited to DP3 or ProTools, outside of that, I just want a decent amount of XLR ins, ADAT ins and outs and stuff like that. Any opinions?

I've been trying to get information on the Event EZbus, but nobody on this forum is talking about that product. I can't find opinions on it anywhere on the web.

Are you interested in a specific product? Have you searched deja.com for info on digi mixers?

what do you mean "decent amout" of XLR, ADAT ins and outs??

and whats your price range.

and do you want a digital mixer at all?? Or do you want an interface like the HUI or an EZBUS??? they're a little bit different... but similar.

At this point I am still looking at options. Decent amount of XLR and probably means at least 8, but more like 12 or 16. I realize a HUI has considerably less, (2 I think), but I do like that I can automate my workstations with it. I am not sure exactly what I want. Price range will probably about 3500$ maybe up to 5000$ depending on a few different things. there is a Tascam board that seems to be pretty cool, as well as some control surfaces.

I guess I am thinking digital mixer because I have an ADAT and I don't know if control surfaces work with those. I could be wrong, I should probably do more research on my own, but I got lazy and posted here instead.
